How to get to Buck Wood: Buses: Route 612 and 613, between Bradford and Shipley via Five Lane Ends, Thackley, and Windhill, stops at Thackley Corner frequently, going in either direction. Route 60 Between Keighley and Leeds via Shipley, Thackley, and Greengates, stops at Thackley every half hour.

From Thackley Corner (where the bus stops and shops are), walk down Thackley Road to its junction with Ainsbury Avenue, where there is also the Methodist Church and Thackley Cricket Club.  Walk a short distance up Ainsbury Avenue to the entrances to the Wood on the left hand side (5 -10 minutes walk). At the second entrance there is a disabled entrance suitable for wheechairs, which opens on to the Access-for-All circular path.

Parking is permitted along Ainsbury Avenue, and there is usually plenty of space near the entrances to Buck Wood.

There is also access to Buck Wood at the bottom of Thackley Road where it meets Buck Mill Lane, and from the Canal towpath over the Buck Mill swing bridge. The Wood is immediately on your left.
From Baildon you can walk along Buck Mill Lane from Otley Road, crossing the River Aire by the footbridge and continuing up to the Canal Swing Bridge.
